The Talent Acquisition Specialist serves as an internal business partner with a focus on sourcing and recruitment; implementing and coordinating full life-cycle recruiting of a variety of type and level of positions to include sourcing candidates, interviewing/scheduling, extending offers/negotiating and ultimately making hires. This position is responsible for ensuring the Company has a diverse talent pipeline both internally and externally to meet the current and anticipated needs of the business. This position would be based in Louisville with day travel as needed to Charlestown and Jeffersonville.

• Partners with the Talent Acquisition Manager to strategize different ways to build a diverse talent pipeline based on short and long-term staffing projections
• Ensures that candidate pools and pipelines are filled with diverse candidates with the necessary knowledge and skills required
• Utilizes a range of channels to source talent and build diverse pipelines with the awareness and understanding of the type of channels that yield the best talent
• Actively maintains applicant data related to all resumes and skill assessment information for current and past employees and applicants to be able to identify or screen out potential applicants for positions or assignments
• Leverages social media platforms, professional associations, universities and other sources of data to source potential passive as well as active candidates
• Utilizes pro-active and non-traditional recruitment techniques (direct sourcing, networking, career/school fairs, interns, co-ops, etc.) in the recruitment process
• Builds and maintains successful relationships with recruitment sources such as schools, professional/industry organizations, job boards, social media, staffing agencies, recruitment firms, etc. in order to create a pipeline of candidates
• Stays abreast of innovative recruiting techniques to attract and compete in markets
• Serves as the liaison between company and candidates during the interview process
• Assists with developing, coordinating, writing and posting job postings
• Establishes and maintains internal job boards and oversees career sourcing website, making frequent updates to ensure attractiveness of Knipper as a leading employer
• Assists with creating marketing plan and collateral for recruitment brand recognition
• Partners with the recruiter and hiring managers to understand talent needed for long and short-term staffing goals and provide guidance on interviewing/staffing/candidate assessment
• Sources, screens and interviews candidates for exempt and non-exempt openings from requisition approval to offer of employment
• Assists the Talent Acquisition Manager with improvements in the recruiting process to minimize cycle time of vacant positions
• Assists with preparing statistical reports and analysis on use of recruitment methods (advertising/agencies/etc) and company established metrics
• Assists in planning and forecasting of recruitment needs
• Utilizes interviewing tools that have proven to be effective and lawful and without discrimination
• Assists in the establishment and development of fair selection standards and criteria
• Contributes to the overall success of the Human Resources department by participating in HR initiatives and projects

• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience in Recruiting/Human Resources management or a related field
• Knowledge of current employment law is required.
• Ability to travel between corporate locations (day travel to Charlestown and/or Jeffersonville) on an as needed basis
• Minimum of one (1) year experience working in an applicant tracking system (ATS).
• Minimum of three (3) years corporate sourcing/recruiting experience utilizing traditional and progressive recruitment strategies (networking, social media, boolean, job boards, schools, etc.).
• Experience managing multiple positions/disciplines openings.
• Experience working with iCIMS is strongly preferred.
• General Human Resources experience is preferred.
• Experience in a multi-site and fast paced industry is preferred.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in building relationships internally and externally.
• Proficiency with MS-Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other software applications, internet research, etc.
• Excellent communication skills; verbal, interpersonal and written.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to take initiative to drive results and work as part of a team.
