The Vice President, Commercial Development- Customer Pharmacy Solutions is responsible for revenue growth, company financial health and relationship strength with customers. The Vice President, Commercial Development, CPS will be responsible for developing Knipper’s market penetration in new and existing accounts within the pharmaceutical industry. This individual will focus on the identification and commercialization of custom pharmacy solutions for such clients.  Establishes and maintains key relationships within the accounts above the level of day-to-day contact, up to and including executive management.  This role works closely with other business units and departments across the entire organization.

 

**Must Have Previous Subject Matter Expert Experience in the areas of Custom Pharmacy Solutions (cash pharmacy, specialty- lite, hub services and non- commercial pharmacy programs**

Fully remote role, must be able to travel when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve individual revenue targets for business unit growth through new and existing customers.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in area of custom pharmacy solutions to include commercial and non commercial offerings (cash pharmacy, specialty-lite and non-commercial pharmacy programs).
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers within pharmaceutical/bio-tech industry to include trade/distribution, market access, channel strategy and brand teams.
  • Actively manage the entire pipeline process including lead generation up to and including contract negotiations.
  • Anticipate client’s needs based on market trends. (Be proactive and strategic)
  • Provide expertise on solution expansion and development.
  • Develop plan for new/existing accounts and continually monitor progress towards such plan.
  • Ensure account strategies align with the organization’s goals.
  • Collaborate effectively with various departments and business units to facilitate the execution of solutions.
  • Actively engage in industry trade-shows, conferences and networking events to generate relationships, opportunities and maintain a high level of industry expertise.
  • Participate in client meetings to develop a heightened sense of awareness and understanding.
  • Consult with client’s key decision makers on business strategies that improve overall ROI.
  • Ensure all parties within Knipper having the proper knowledge and expectations of the client’s needs as well as their account strategy.
  • Represent client perspective and business goals to promote product and solution innovation and in turn, impact organizational decisions.

Qualifications

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience required.
  • 7-10+ years experience, pharmacy- commercial and non commercial (specialty lite, cash and patient assistance program), and associated hub services. Digital health experience a plus.   
  • 10 years relevant experience in sales/commercial roles.
  • Demonstrable success leading sales presentations to key decision makers and executives within pharmaceutical and bio-tech organizations.
  • Deep network of current industry contacts preferred.
  • Proven history of sales/ revenue generation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent collaboration in a team environment.
  • Highly skilled in negotiating contracts.

 

  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • A consultative sales/business approach that leads to client acquisition and growth.
  • Ability to effectively balance and manage internal and client expectations.
  • Strong overall business knowledge specific to strategic planning, sales, and financial planning.
  • Detailed knowledge of life sciences industry and pharmacy solutions ecosystem.
  • Behavior consistent with organizational CHART values. (Caring, Honesty, Accountability, Respect and Trust)
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Advanced skill in business consulting and managing multiple initiatives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Salesforce.com preferred.
  • Accurately follow SOP’s related to proposal generation and statements of work.
  • Ability to identify process enhancement opportunities, training needs, and client challenges.
  • Leadership and communication style to motivate diverse groups to achieve extraordinary results.
