The Maintenance Utility Associate  maintains the “wow” effect in the facility as it pertains to organization and cleanliness in assigned areas in the Distribution Center, and office.  Assist with small repair jobs throughout the facility

 

Hours: Monday-Friday 11:30 am-8:00pm (can be flexible for a later start), occasionally Saturday hours

Responsibilities

    • Collect wheeled tilt trucks full of recyclable materials and bring to trash cage
    • Accurately separate and sort recyclable materials in bins and prepare for shipping
    • Bale corrugated cardboard
    • Using a dust mop sweep floors of any wood chips, dust and floor debris
    • Occasionally mop areas with wet mop that require mopping
    • Operate Tennant floor scrubber to clean 450k square foot Distribution Center.
    • Operate ride-on floor sweeper collecting floor debris
    • Clean bathrooms regularly and ensure soap is replenished in a timely manner
    • Maintain consistent output of work to keep up with cardboard baling

Qualifications

 

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education/Training:  High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

 

Business Experience:  One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Must possess good observation skills and attention to details.
  • Must be able to use basic tools, screwdriver, hammer, and drill
  • Should be able to learn to safely operate a walkie rider and other material handling equipment.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have experience related to maintenance or housekeeping activities, preferably in a warehouse environment.

 

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequently required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, lift and reach with hands and arms
  • Must possess physical ability to move equipment
  • Work is carried out in a fulfillment center and warehouse environment
